Reviews & experiences

Professionals often get stuck in patterns and ego's. Children don’t.
They simply say what they see and think — and come up with solutions you can’t ignore.
That’s why over 300 organizations have already worked with us.

A unique experience — and now moving forward with three concrete recommendations.

For the Airspace Renewal Program, our ambition was to communicate goals and facts in an honest and engaging way, so that citizens and politicians could form well-informed opinions and make thoughtful decisions.

ConsultingKids translated this complex challenge in a brilliant and fitting way, making it possible for children to think along. It was impressive how quickly they managed to realize this — within just six weeks before the summer break.

The energy and liveliness in the classroom were a unique experience for many colleagues, and it was fantastic to see the ideas that emerged and how ConsultingKids translated them back into professional advice.

We’re now actively working on three of those recommendations and have shared the results with the children as well. The entire process was a special experience, and the kick-off with the “Thinking Like a Child” workshop laid a strong foundation to involve more colleagues from the very start.

An absolute recommendation!

I love it!

Your sessions completely, lifts the room, and it also opens the floodgates to communicate with each other. There's a whole different culture spreading amongst the audience. A complete flow of energy and everyone loves it.

A good kind of short-circuit

I wish everyone in our organization (and beyond) could experience this at least once! The ideas and reactions from children to the questions we, as professionals, work on create a good kind of short-circuit — truly powerful!I’m so glad I got to be part of this.

Highly recommended!

This approach makes things playful, surprising, and full of fresh ideas. As adults, we tend to approach things the same way over and over again — this method opens up completely new perspectives. It’s wonderful to look at serious challenges with such a fresh, lighthearted view.Truly recommended!

I loved that everyone really got involved

It inspired me to start thinking differently again — something I realized I don’t do often enough. I tend to slip back into thinking like an adult too quickly. So I’m really glad I joined this session today.

Playfully translating complex research questions. I loved it!

Research questions on 1) corticosteroid modification to retain anti-inflammatory effects while avoiding systemic side effects, 2) circadian-driven activation of brown adipose tissue for targeted drug discovery, and 3) therapeutic strategies to reduce hepatic inflammation and lipid accumulation in metabolic steatohepatitis.

We got an atmosphere where people started to play playfully get together and think of translating research in questions that schoolchildren would be able to solve.

I loved it!

This should be a regular thing for every organization

when you make it simple and you got to explain it to a 10 year old, you don't explain all of the fluff. You go straight to the core. Very refreshing, interesting and fun. Especially for a group of consultants that use big words to explain simple problems. IBM is a huge American conglomerate with layers of bureaucracy and rules, and you sort of lose sight that things aren't that difficult. Please come again!

A joy to start tackling organizational challenges this way

Bas shows — both through his method and his book — that we’re often stuck in our own context. Breaking free from that helps me see challenges differently and approach them with renewed energy and joy.Organizational and development questions have become a true pleasure to dive into again!

Let's do it again!

This was also a good way to think outside of the box and it's collaborative because you don't do it on your own. You do it in a team, with your colleagues. It's a way to simplify without making it childish. So not oversimplify, and then translating it back to the real world.

Other Organizations should do this because it's fun and  you can open your eyes to problems and look at them at a different way.

Problems start to feel lighter

I really enjoyed it because it makes you look at a problem in a completely different way. You’re encouraged to think carefully and truly understand what the problem is first. And by looking at it in such a light-hearted way, it suddenly feels much less heavy.
