Information for schools

We involve children in solving complex issues of companies, governments and social organizations. We do this because we are convinced that children can really help adults solve these issues. Children's ideas form the basis for the solutions we help our clients move forward with.

And... there is no cost to participate.

Why you want to participate as a school...

By collaborating with ConsultingKids, school classes get the opportunity to help solve complex issues for a diversity of organizations, both in the public and private sectors.

This collaboration is not only a learning moment about the professional world for the children, but also broadens their horizons in problem solving. During the process at ConsultingKids, students develop these skills, which they can then apply universally. The problem solving techniques learned are derived from methods from leading consulting firms and well-known management concepts from books such as “Omdenken”, “Blue Ocean Strategy” and “Design Thinking for Strategic Innovation”.

In a fun and innovative way, we offer classes an exciting curriculum that combines playful learning with assignments, brainstorming sessions, relaxation and education. During this day, we take children very seriously; after all, they contribute to solving an issue they can rightly be proud of. At the end of the day, the children are therefore recognized as Junior Consultants and receive an official diploma, which lists the five most important skills learned:

  • Don't solve it right away, ask questions first
  • Yes and know together
  • Coming up with solutions from different perspectives
  • Explain why and how
  • Improving ideas & inventions and making them unique

But our guest lecture is just the beginning. We take children seriously, and that also applies to our clients. After the process, they visit the classes again or share a video, not only to thank the children again, but also to show what happened to their ideas. This gives the children insight into the impact of their contribution.

A unique experience — and now moving forward with three concrete recommendations.

For the Airspace Renewal Program, our ambition was to communicate goals and facts in an honest and engaging way, so that citizens and politicians could form well-informed opinions and make thoughtful decisions.

ConsultingKids translated this complex challenge in a brilliant and fitting way, making it possible for children to think along. It was impressive how quickly they managed to realize this — within just six weeks before the summer break.

The energy and liveliness in the classroom were a unique experience for many colleagues, and it was fantastic to see the ideas that emerged and how ConsultingKids translated them back into professional advice.

We’re now actively working on three of those recommendations and have shared the results with the children as well. The entire process was a special experience, and the kick-off with the “Thinking Like a Child” workshop laid a strong foundation to involve more colleagues from the very start.

An absolute recommendation!

I love it!

Your sessions completely, lifts the room, and it also opens the floodgates to communicate with each other. There's a whole different culture spreading amongst the audience. A complete flow of energy and everyone loves it.

An awesome concept!

I think it’s a really great instrument — it makes you look at problems and possible solutions in a completely different way.Above all, it’s just really fun!
